The state Department of Health reported 18 new COVID-19 cases and four more deaths in Luzerne County on Wednesday.
The county has now had 2,572 cases and 128 deaths.
The latest COVID-19 numbers for Luzerne County and the state were released later Wednesday due to technical issues with the data system.
In addition, Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine did not hold a news briefing on Wednesday. The department is scheduled to resume briefings today.
The department said 38 people were tested Wednesday at the drive-thru testing site at Mohegan Sun Arena. To date, 2,017 individuals have been tested.
As of Wednesday, Luzerne County had 84 new cases per 100,000 population over the previous two weeks.
Counties would be eligible to move to the “yellow phase” when that number reaches 50.
