UDOH tallied 129 new cases of COVID-19 since Sunday’s report, bringing the total to 8,521. Monday’s new cases represent a daily rate decrease of 2.2% from the day before.
Four more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the past day, UDOH reported. There are 95 Utahns hospitalized with COVID-19; there have been 692 hospitalizations since the pandemic began.
The state had 2,025 more people tested for the coronavirus in the past day, bringing the state’s total to 196,468. The rate of positive tests is at 4.3%.
Of the total cases of COVID-19, 5,218 are considered “recovered” — which, by UDOH’s definition, means going three weeks since being diagnosed and not dying.
